Local Senior Center is Accepting Volunteers

Town Square University Parkway Adult Day Center is accepting volunteers who want to make a difference in their community and with the senior population. Volunteers have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in Manatee County. As a volunteer, individuals can assist with a variety of tasks such as leading fitness classes, playing games with members, helping with meals, or simply spending time chatting with seniors. Our team goes above and beyond to cater to each volunteer and help them personalize their experience at Town Square Center by engaging them with a personal passion or hobby. For example, if a volunteer loves to garden, they can lead a class of seniors in our garden shop or help maintain our raised garden bed. There is something for everyone! Janice, one of Town Square’s volunteers said, “The center and its members gave me purpose again.
